Calm, Goofy, Talkative
Please give a super friendly Austin welcome to Maisie, a sweet recent mom eager to find her furever home!
Maisie is reserved at first glance. She takes some time to get comfortable and may even appear skittish. She kindly asks that you show her patience and give her the opportunity to get comfortable. Once she's ready, she will let you know. Until then, you may find her hiding out in low spaces. Just be sure you know where she is before you open an outside door because this lovely lady has a bit of an escape artist streak!
Playtime is not really a priority for Maisie right now. She'll brighten up for the wand toy, but she's not very active. She does love receiving affection, though. Maisie loves to be pet and, after a few cheek skritchies, she will plop on her side to give you better access. She will sweetly meow to get your attention and bump against you to let you know that she wants pets or treats. She also really enjoys being brushed and her affinity for attention might indicate that she'd be a good snuggle buddy.
Maisie has mixed experience with other cats and no experience with children or dogs. She is truly a loving girl, however, so she may do well with any of them after a gentle period of introduction. As Maisie has gotten acclimated to her foster home, she's started to show more of her charming purrsonality. She likes to ask for treats and she'll stand on her hind paws to receive them. It's so cute!
