Hammie is the definition of a cuddle bug! This medium-sized, 10-pound boy lives for lap time, purring proudly as he snuggles in close for hours. With a moderate form of cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition that affects coordination, Hammie may have a wobbly walk, but his confidence and curiosity remain completely intact. He navigates life with grace, determination, and a sprinkle of sass, winning hearts along the way!

One of Hammie’s most adorable quirks? The way he sleeps in hilariously unexpected positions, like a cat-shaped question mark or sprawled out with zero shame. He’s also wonderfully vocal, always ready to strike up a friendly conversation or remind you when it’s time for some string toy action, his absolute favorite pastime! Whether he’s batting at toys with his endearingly clumsy paws or curled up in your lap soaking up affection, Hammie is happiest when he’s close to his people.

Though he currently lives with a larger dog and another cat, Hammie prefers a calm, respectful environment with pets who understand his unique pace. He thrives in one-level homes with cozy, carpeted areas where he can safely explore without worry, stairs just aren’t his thing. His claws are left slightly longer to help him maintain balance, which means he might occasionally leave a tiny scratch during his enthusiastic snuggles.

Fully litter-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, Hammie is ready for his next chapter. He’s looking for a patient, compassionate guardian, someone experienced with CH or open to learning, who can offer the gentle care and steady affection that helps him flourish.
