Barry was found surviving in a dumpster in Southern New Jersey, scrounging for food and doing whatever he could to get by. But those tough days are behind him now. Since coming into rescue, he hasn’t just found safety — he’s found his way straight into the hearts of every single person here.

Around the rescue, Barry is famous for one thing: he CANNOT avoid a lap. We mean it. If you sit down, he’s there. If there’s a lap within a five-foot radius, it belongs to Barry. We’ve truly never seen anything like it! He is the definition of affectionate — a full-time, professional cuddler with a PhD in snuggles.
