Kitten Season will start again soon (it never really ends!) and we need to make room to get Moms and kittens in, fixed and get them into forever homes! Please consider adopting- especially some of our older residents! Maybe even two? Remember you save TWO cats lives and make countless more cats & kittens lives better by adopting! Tortoise shell (tortie), spayed female, up to date on her shots and approximately two years old. Tortellini is available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cat from Griffith Animal Control/Treasured Friends Rescue in Northwest Indiana.

Is your life missing a little sweetness? Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Tortellini!
My journey to the shelter was a sad one. I was left behind by my previous owners and abandoned. I didn't understand why I was all alone, but I was so fortunate someone found me and brought me to the shelter. Even though I was unwanted, that hasn't changed my sunny outlook on life one bit!
I am just so grateful to be safe and looking for my REAL forever home now! I promise I'm a sweet tortie and their loss is your gain!! I might look like a complex work of art, because I have a tortoise shell coat and no two tortie's coats are alike! My name is tortellini because who doesn't like pasta?! But, my needs are simple-a warm lap, pets and a family who will never leave me behind again!

I’m a wonderful companion and a professional snuggler! My purr sounds like a little motor and it starts the second you pet my soft fur! I’m a "people" cat through and through and I’d love to be your shadow, following you from room to room just to see if you need any help! I also love to play with toys! I get along with other kitty friends if you already have one. I would do great in a home with gentle, older kids who can give me soft pets. I'm not sure how I feel about dogs though.

Even though my original home didn't work out, I’m waiting patiently for my forever home now! I promise I'll be your best friend and a source of fun and entertainment too! I’m ready to start my "happily ever after" with a family who promises to keep me forever!

Griffith Animal Control, in partnership with Treasured Friends Animal Rescue believes in giving kitties that others wouldn't give a chance, a helping hand at getting a forever home. Our volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to gain their trust to show them they are safe and no one will hurt them. However, when the kitties go to a new home, some will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months.
