Happy New Year! New Year, but cats and kittens still need homes! Kitten Season will start again soon ( it never really ends!) and we need to make room to get Moms and kittens in, fixed and get them into forever homes! Please consider adopting- especially some of our older residents! Maybe even two? Remember you save TWO cats lives and make countless more cats & kittens lives better by adopting! Gala is domestic short haired black, neutered male, up to date on his shots, around 3 years old and available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cat from Griffith Animal Control/Treasured Friends Rescue in Highland Northwest Indiana.

Hi! Have you ever wished you had your very own Baker? Have you ever wished for some fresh biscuits whenever you want them?
Well, look no further because I'm a award winning Baker and I'm looking for a job!
I just need a home! My specialty is biscuit making. I love to make biscuits every chance I get! Take me home and you'll always have warm kitten biscuits!

Before the shelter, I was out of a job and living outside. I wasn't making my biscuits much then because I was too busy trying to find food for myself. I didn't even have the ingredients for my biscuits!
One day a nice person saw me and knew I needed help and got me to the shelter!
So now I'm at the shelter looking for a new job. I'm so much happier now that I'm inside, warm and I have food. I can start doing what I love- making my biscuits again! I'd share my recipe with you, but it's a secret! I guarantee you'll love them though! I promise I don't need much, just some love, food, some playtime and lots of pets! References are available up on request! I can also start as soon as possible! I hope you'll consider me to be your next in home biscuit maker!
I'm ready for my interview! Please make an appointment to come and see me at the shelter! I have my own "room" there and we can visit! if you have another kitty we should be able to get along (with the proper introduction period). Gentle older kids are probably fine, but not sure about dogs though.

Griffith Animal Control, in partnership with Treasured Friends Animal Rescue believes in giving kitties that others wouldn't normally get a chance at getting a forever home, a chance! Our fosters & volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to get them used to being pet and to show them no one will hurt them. However, when they go to a new home, some kitties will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months.
