Medium-haired Mitsy came from a heartbreaking situation, living among a colony of more than 50 outdoor cats and kittens. Food and clean water were scarce, many of the cats suffered from upper respiratory infections, and everyone was thin and struggling to survive.
Today, Mitsy is thriving in rescue and making wonderful progress. Her eyes are now clear, her beautiful coat is growing back where matted fur had to be removed, and she is steadily gaining weight. Most importantly, she has discovered how good life can be.
Mitsy is currently being fostered with her sister, Frisky. The two love to sleep, play, and spend time together. While they are not bonded and can be adopted separately, they would be delighted to find a home together if possible.
Mitsy is a playful, affectionate kitten who finds fun in almost everything. She loves batting at your feet as you walk by, chasing a moving hand, and even helping with household chores by pouncing on the broom while you sweep. Despite her playful nature, she is very gentle and loves cuddling with her people.
A before photo shows just how far Mitsy has come. Her eyes were infected, she looked tired and sad, and life was difficult. Today, she is happy, healthy, and ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own.
If you're looking for a sweet, playful companion with a remarkable rescue story, Mitsy may be the perfect addition to your family. Apply for Mitsy (and Frisky?) at sandipaws.org.
All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped and vaccinated prior to adoption.
