Bernard is a straggly guy with no excuse except maybe he's a little lazy. At about 2-years-old, he may not be a stunner, but boy is he friendly!
Bernard would likely fit into most homes. Sure, you have to help him a bit with his unkept coat, but he'll thank you with lots of love!
While are aren't sure of his past, we think Bernard would get along just fine with other cats or dogs.

We never know how quickly a pet will be adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in a pet but want to see them during our shelter open hours prior to filling out an application, we strongly recommend that you email us at adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org before visiting the shelter to ensure they are still there.
Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10am-2pm for you to come view our adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during our open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need.
Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and we’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
