Marshmallow is a one-year-old girl, about 7 petite pounds, with a silky medium white coat and the most beautiful fluffy tabby tail. She’s small, delicate, and absolutely overflowing with sweetness.
Some cats can survive as strays. Marshmallow was never meant to.
She is simply too trusting, too affectionate, too eager for human touch. When the volunteers at Save a Gato found her alone in Paseo Del Morro, it was immediately clear she didn’t belong on the streets. She leaned in for attention. She sought out hands instead of hiding. In an area carefully monitored through TNR, they knew she wasn’t part of the colony — she was someone’s abandoned baby.
And thankfully, she was found just in time. Only days later, access to that colony was closed due to construction. If she hadn’t been rescued when she was, her second chance might never have come.
Marshmallow isn’t just looking for shelter. She’s looking for someone to belong to. She was saved in time to start over — and now she’s waiting for the person who will make sure she never feels abandoned again.
If you’re ready for a small, sweet shadow who will love you endlessly, Marshmallow is ready to give you her whole heart.
Marshmallow is rescued and under the care of Save a Gato. Any applicant needs to apply through the website of our organization https://www.saveagato.com/available-cats
Although our cats are all located in Puerto Rico, they can fly to mainland US. We can usually find flight angels to bring the cat to you once you are approved for adoption. We don't charge for arranging the trip, the air ticket is $125 on top of adoption fee.
