Odessa is a young female tabby with a petite frame and a clever spirit. Once homeless and pregnant during a stretch of brutal cold, she found her way to safety by quietly slipping into a house when no one was watching. There, she discovered a warm, hidden spot and gave birth to her single kitten, Tillie.
With other pets already in the home, Odessa was able to find food and water. Three weeks later, the homeowner was surprised to see a tiny kitten emerging from behind the stove--revealing Odessa's secret.
Odessa and Tillie were brought to ACAT shortly after. We estimate Odessa is around one year old. She may be a bit shy at first, but she warms up quickly and becomes a sweet, affectionate companion who will happily purr and rub against your legs.
Odessa and her daughter Tillie share a special bond--they are best friends and constant playmates, happily chasing each other around.
Having survived difficult conditions, Odessa can be a bit cautious, especially around other cats during mealtime, and may occasionally growl. With time, patience, and a stable environment, she will relax and feel secure in her new home.
Odessa is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated (including rabies), and dewormed.
She is currently fostered in Anchorage. For more information, please contact her foster, Silvia, at (907) 717-9300 (call or text). Serious adopters are encouraged to submit a pre-adoption application.
Odessa's adoption fee is $200.For general information, contact ACAT at 982-2228. Serious inquiries should complete ACAT's preadoption application found on the adoptables gallery page of our website.
