My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!
I have lived with cats in my previous home.
I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.
I am looking for a home with a patient person.
I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
What my friends at ACC say about me:
Barty was at the back of the bottom cubby with a neutral body and eyes. When removing the litter box out of the way, he steps further back and presses his head to the side. He leans forward to sniff and accept treats offered. When pet on the head, he initially flinches, but then lowers his head for petting. He turns his head away for cheek rubs and is coaxed with treats to walk to the front. When stroking his back and reaching around his body, applying gentle upward pressure on his side and chest lifting him up to the ceiling of the cubby, he scurries and skittishly steps back, retreats after releasing him from the handler's grasp, curls up, and lip licks. After taking a few seconds to recover, he continues to accept more treats, petting, and cheek rubs.
