Meet Lloyd, a handsome 14-year-old Champagne DMH (Domestic Medium Hair) gentleman with a soft coat and an even softer heart. Lloyd was originally adopted from us years ago, but through no fault of his own, he recently found himself back at the shelter after his family decided they no longer wanted him. Despite the change, Lloyd remains sweet, gentle, and ready to love again.

Now Lloyd sits quietly in his kennel, a senior boy who doesn't understand why his world disappeared. He isn't loud. He isn't demanding. He just watches, waiting, as if he's hoping his family will come back for him.

Through it all, Lloyd remains incredibly gentle. He is GOOD WITH CHILDREN, patient and kind even after his heart has been broken. He is litterbox trained and has wonderful house manners. We don't know how he does with other cats or dogs, but the cats here haven't seemed to bother him. He simply keeps to himself.

He is up to date on vaccines (though he will need an updated rabies vaccine), has been dewormed, and has received a flea treatment. His body has been cared for -- now he just needs someone to care for his heart.

At 14 years old, Lloyd doesn't need much. A quiet home. A soft bed. A warm lap. A promise that he will never be disposable again
