Hi! My name is Trinket and I'm a 2 year old Female Domestic Shorthair currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home!

Some treasures are made of gold... and some have whiskers. Meet Trinket, a little gem just waiting to become someone's favorite keepsake. Trinket came to us through no fault of her own after her owner made the difficult decision to move abroad for school. Trinket is a sweet, independent girl who believes the best things in life are earned, including her trust. She may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once you've found your way into her heart, you'll be rewarded with lots of cuddles, affection, and a loyal companion who loves curling up beside her favorite person. When she's not soaking up attention, Trinket is perfectly fine entertaining herself. You can often find her perched in a sunny window watching the world go by, lounging on her cat tree, or just relaxing indoors. She's even harness trained and enjoys supervised time in the yard, making her a curious explorer who appreciates fresh air! Trinket enjoys being around people, even if she's not always the center of attention. When visitors stop by, she's happy to investigate with a few curious sniffs before deciding whether she'd like to say hello or simply observe from across the room. She's met children, including toddlers, and has done well with them, especially when they're respectful of her space.

Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
