Calling all tripod lovers!
Sunny is a long-haired ginger gentleman who seems to have more than his fair share of orange braincells. After about eight years surviving with a local feral colony, he traded one back leg for a shot at the good life.
Even as a street cat, Sunny's sweet personality stood out. A security guard in the area often let him come inside during cold winter nights. When a tumor appeared on his leg, she helped him get to Houston Cares, leading to the life-saving surgery that gave him a healthier, happier future.
Since then, Sunny has been recovering beautifully in foster care and fully embracing indoor life. Though he's still getting the hang of moving around on three legs, he's using the litter box, stairs, and even the cat door like a pro. As a tripod, Sunny is happily respectful about furniture boundaries unless personally invited (and given a helping hand).
Sunny gets along well with both cats and dogs, though he appreciates having a quiet space while he gets to know new friends. His passions include getting brushed, belly rubs, and engaging in long, thoughtful conversations.
Most importantly, Sunny is a true gentleman. He doesn't bite or swat, and he greets the world with kindness and curiosity. Sunny has waited a long time for a home of his own. If you're looking for a little extra sunshine these days, he'd love to meet you
