Domestic Long Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Katniss is a beautiful long haired senior calico looking for lasting love through adoption. Katniss found rescue through tragedy. After being in a home for 13 years, for an unknown reason, Katniss was abandoned outside where she was brutally attacked by a dog. She was left with her severe injuries in her back end that left her immobilized. Katniss was hospitalized in ICU for several days before she was transferred to an experienced medical foster. At the time, we only hoped she would regain the ability to walk, but knew that only time would tell.

In thanks to modern day medicine, her skilled foster mom and a determination not to quit, Katniss made a miraculous and complete recovery. At 13 years old, Katniss fought with every fiber of her being and now we are fighting to give her a family.

Katniss is an absolute doll. She purrs so loudly that you can’t hear anything else and is perfectly content spending her day lounging in a big marshmallow bed. She isn’t a fan of other animals, so she will need a home where she can be the resident pet. Katniss has endured so much over the last 6 months - help her forget her tragedy by giving her a loving and lasting home.
