Hi! I'm Houdini, the escape artist of the shelter! My tale begins with a curious chase after a butterfly that led me straight into a picnic basket. Next thing I knew, I was at Paws Animal Shelter, with new humans marveling at my escape skills. Twice I've outwitted the quarantine room, both times sneaking into the attic, where I found the coziest corner. If you're looking for a sweet, friendly companion who can keep you on your toes with her curious antics, I'm your girl! Adopt me and let the adventures begin!
Note from Paws humans: An elderly man brought "Baby" to the shelter after he had a stroke and could no longer keep this sweet girl. We put her in quarantine, which is part of our protocol, and she obviously didn't like it there! She escaped twice, got through the ceiling tiles, and hid in the attic. One of our volunteers climbed into the attic and set a trap to catch her each time. This volunteer decided it was just easier to take her home so she could finish her quarantine in a home environment. We'll let her describe Baby, now widely known at the shelter as Houdini: "Houdini is now in our guest room, and the first day she snooped all over the room and she ended up at the top of a tall cat tree. By the second day she was down and climbing all over us! She is unbelievably sweet and cuddly, and she craves being around people. She's also beautiful, with a huge fluffy tale and very soft fur. We're teaching her to play, and she's curious about everything. We hope to find a home for Houdini soon, so she can avoid going back to the shelter. If you would like to meet her, call (937-653-6233) or email (pawsurbanaohio@gmail.com) the shelter, and they will set up a visit for you at our home. We guarantee that you will fall in love with this sweet, highly intelligent young cat!"
