Hermione is a beautiful long-haired tuxedo girl with a soft, fluffy coat and an elegant presence. She is a lovely little girl with a calm and affectionate personality. While she may be a bit reserved when meeting new people, she has an incredibly sweet nature and quickly becomes a purring machine once she feels safe and comfortable. Hermione enjoys gentle attention and loves spending time with her favorite people, soaking up pets and affection. She can often be found curled up for a cozy cat tree nap or chasing after a wand toy during playtime. Hermione is also very food-motivated and eagerly awaits mealtime, especially when canned food or Churu treats are involved. As an added bonus, she is wonderfully cooperative for baths and nail trims, making her an easy companion to care for.
Hermione’s journey is one of incredible luck and second chances. She and her siblings, Potter and Harry, were originally trapped as part of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program, where community cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, and then returned to the area where they were found. At only 8 weeks old, Hermione, Potter, and Harry were scheduled to be returned to life on the streets immediately after their surgeries.
But fate had other plans. During their short stay at the clinic, the three kittens captured the heart of a volunteer who knew they deserved more than a life struggling to survive outdoors. Just before they were set to be released, The Dancing Cat was able to step in and save them. Instead of being returned to the streets, Hermione and her siblings were given the opportunity to experience safety, love, and the chance to find forever homes.
You may notice that Hermione has a tipped ear her long hair covers it well. An ear tip is the universal sign that a cat has been through a TNR program. For Hermione, it serves as a reminder of just how close she came to being returned outside. Her ear was tipped during surgery because everyone expected she would be released back to the streets. At the time, no one had stepped forward for Hermione, Potter, or Harry, and their future seemed destined to be life outdoors.
Thankfully, before that could happen, The Dancing Cat was able to intervene and give all three kittens the second chance they deserved. Today, Hermione is safe, loved, and learning that the world can be a kind place. Now she’s looking for a forever family where she can continue to blossom and share her sweet, gentle nature.
Because Hermione has grown up alongside Potter and Harry and has never known life without them, she would absolutely love to be adopted with one of her siblings. They have been through every step of their journey together from being trapped as tiny kittens to getting their second chance at a better life. A home where Hermione could continue her story with Potter or Harry by her side would truly be a dream come true. â¤ï ̧
Part of adopting a kitten is recognizing that they are babies, and you will get to see firsthand how their wonderful natures develop!
Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens under 5 months old must be adopted with a buddy or into a house where there's a kitten-friendly pet.
This kitten is currently in a foster home. To meet this kitten, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adopt
