If you’ve been following sweet Odie’s journey, you know he’s had quite the road to get here. This brave boy was previously featured on our Facebook page because of his twisted back legs — and today we are overjoyed to share the update we’ve all been hoping for!
At his most recent appointment, his veterinarian was “thrilled with Odie’s progress.” She truly didn’t expect him to be doing as well as he is. Odie has officially been released from care and will not need to be splinted again. However, if his paw were to turn upside down again, amputation would be addressed. Also, his tail will not need to be docked unless it ever becomes painful for him.
Right now, though? He is thriving. He runs, he plays, he loves — and he has proven himself to be nothing short of a miracle.
Because of his possible future medical considerations and the incredible amount of extra care and effort that has gone into helping him succeed, we will be taking extra steps when adopting him out. We will be accepting adoption applications through Petfinder and then conducting additional interviews.
Our goal is to find Odie the perfect forever home where he will be cherished and supported for life.
His adoption fee will be $250.
