Kobuk is a long-haired, neutered male teen kitten. Kobuk came to ACAT in early January after being rescued by a good Samaritan. Kobuk was born and lived in an abandoned home without heat, water or a regular source of food. He truly lived in some of the saddest conditions imaginable.
Being around humas is new to Kobuk and he is still very shy. We are working with him and his foster home enjoys having him around. He will allow gentle pets and when he is comfortable, he will even raise his tail and push his back into your hand. When Kobuk arrived he was terribly matted and was thankful to be brushed. He enjoys being brushed on his back and sides, and he is learning to play with the other cats and kittens in the foster home. Kobuk is also feeling more comfortable around the large, friendly dogs in the foster home.
If you have experience with shy cats and are willing to work with Kobuk, he could become a very affectionate and loyal kitty.
Kobuk is fostered in Anchorage. For more information call/text Silvia. (907) 717-9300.
Kobuk is neutered, microchipped and has received his kitten vaccines and a first rabies shot.
His adoption fee is $200.For general information, contact ACAT at 982-2228. Serious inquiries should complete ACAT's preadoption application found on the adoptables gallery page of our website.
