He has the kind of face you don’t forget. Big golden eyes, a full lion’s ruff of fur, and a steady, soulful gaze that feels both ancient and impossibly soft.

Charlemagne was found in East LA with a significant wound and needed extra medical support. Those days are behind him now. He’s healed, safe, and settling into indoor life like he was always meant to be here. There’s something about him that feels deeply grateful. He doesn’t take comfort for granted.

He follows his person from room to room just to be near. He’ll stretch out beside you for hours, quietly keeping you company. He loves belly rubs and leans into a good brushing session like it’s the highlight of his day. With all that long, plush fur, it’s a good thing he enjoys being groomed.

He’s gentle and communicative. If something doesn’t feel good, he lets you know without any fuss. Otherwise, he is all warmth and affection. He does well with dogs and would likely be comfortable with respectful children.

Charlemagne is FIV positive from his time surviving on the streets, but it has not slowed him down. He is thriving and ready for a soft place to land for good.
