Her beloved very elderly owner is moving into long-term care, and there was no way to bring her along. So Silkie arrived at Homeward Bound... confused, a little shy, and carrying the weight of a life she didn't choose to leave behind.

Silkie is a gentle, sensitive soul. She's not the kind of cat who demands attention - she's the kind who quietly waits for it. She takes her time learning who to trust... but when she does? She melts for soft voices and kind hands. Especially women. Especially those who understand that love doesn't have to be loud to be real.

She adores being brushed (even her tummy ), though right now her long, beautiful coat is matted - a small sign of how hard these past months have been. She'll need some grooming, patience, and a little extra TLC to feel like herself again.
