Meet the gems from Oakdale Park: Tourmaline, Opal, and Selenite.
These kittens were born this past summer when their mama showed up in a kind person's yard to deliver her babies. She trusted she would be safe — and she was. Though mom has since disappeared, a caring family continued looking after the kittens.
What started as a simple TNR project through Operation Colony Cats turned into something more. These three girls proved they weren't just survivors — they were adoptable.
Tourmaline is very affectionate. She enjoys being close, leans into pets, and happily purrs when you give her attention. She's loving without being overwhelming — just a steady, sweet presence.
Opal is a little more reserved with her affection, but don't mistake that for distance. She bonds deeply — she just wants to be sure you're worth it. She will do best with cat-savvy children who understand that trust is earned.
Selenite will likely need a little time to decompress in a new home. She startles easily and will need a kid-free environment. But here's the beautiful part — she is easy to hold, and once she feels safe in your arms, the purring begins. She wants to trust. She just needs someone steady enough to show her she can.
All three girls adore playing together. Watching them chase and tumble is pure joy. They've grown up side by side, and that bond has helped shape their confidence.
Once you earn the trust of these gems, you won't just have pets — you'll have friends for life and relationships built on patience and respect! Those are the strongest kind.
Everybody loves kittens, and it's not hard to see why! Bringing home a kitten (or two!) means your home is about to be 1000% more adorable. Because kittens are much happier with a feline friend, we only adopt kittens who are under 4 months old out in pairs, or to families who already have a resident friendly cat playmate. If you are looking for a solo cat, please consider one of our friendly available older kittens, teens or adults!
All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
