DESCRIPTION

Meet Leo — a playful, affectionate young boy looking for his forever home.
Leo was surrendered as a stray and has quickly embraced the comforts of indoor life. He’s discovering just how wonderful cozy beds, warm laps, and steady love can be — and he’s thriving.

Leo is incredibly affectionate and people-oriented. He loves pets, belly rubs, and curling up on your lap (especially when he’s winding down for the evening). He’ll happily sleep by your side and may even give you a few gentle grooming licks to return the favor. His fur is unbelievably soft, his purr is impressively loud, and he makes a truly devoted companion. Leo is also a chatter box, and is very responsive to conversation with meows.

Leo is energetic and playful. He loves chasing wand toys, sprinting through tunnels, and batting around catnip treats. He would do best with an owner who enjoys interactive play and helping him burn off that young-cat energy.
Leo has excellent litter box habits and is very tidy. He has also learned quickly to use scratching posts instead of furniture.

Because of his background as a stray, Leo is still working on a few manners — like staying off kitchen counters and keeping play gentle (he can get a bit overexcited with playful nibbles or pawing). For this reason, we believe he would do best in a home without young children and with an individual or family who can provide patience and consistency as he continues to mature.
Leo must be the only cat in the home. He has shown strong aggression toward other cats, including ambush and hunting behaviors. His history with dogs is unknown, but a home where he can be the solo pet would likely set him up for success.

Leo was surrendered with a chipped canine tooth. It does not currently require treatment, but future adopters should be aware that extraction may be needed down the line.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, playful companion who will bond deeply with his person, Leo may be your perfect match.

Leo is located in Apple Valley. If you are interested in meeting this big beautiful boy please call Jennifer at 952-412-4005 and fill out application at www.last-hope.org.
