Domestic Long Hair Cats Available for Adoption

Bagel is a brown tabby girl with the most luxurious, impossibly soft coat and a beautiful fluffy white ruff that frames her face like a little lion’s mane (estimated DOB 6/4/2025). Despite her long fur, Bagel does an excellent job keeping herself well-groomed and tangle-free. She takes great pride in her appearance! Bagel’s beauty is only the beginning. Her personality is truly something special. She is one of the most tolerant, easygoing, and gentle cats you could ever meet.

Bagel originally came from a large group of cats, so her feline social skills are exceptional. She understands other cats beautifully and navigates social dynamics with remarkable grace. If another kitty happens to be a little bossy or dominant, Bagel simply hunkers down calmly and waits out their moment, showing just how patient and non-confrontational she is. We have never seen even the slightest hint of aggression from her.

While Bagel can be a bit timid when first adjusting to a new environment, she quickly blossoms once she feels safe. With people, she is affectionate, playful, and wonderfully interactive. Her soft, soothing purr is constant company and adds to her calming presence in the home.

When it’s playtime, Bagel lights up! She absolutely adores interactive toys, especially the Cat Dancer, track ball toys, and the spinning butterfly. Watching her chase and pounce is pure entertainment.
One quirky and adorable thing about Bagel: she has zero interest in the outside world! When the outside door opens, she immediately seeks the comfort of a cozy hiding spot under a bed or tucked into blankets. She’s definitely appreciates and prefers the warmth and security of home. Bagel truly thrives with a kitty buddy and enjoys having a feline companion to play, relax, and share her days with.

Bagel is the kind of cat who brings peace, sweetness, and gentle joy into a home. With her silky coat, playful spirit, and incredibly kind nature, she is sure to make a lucky family very happy.

All kittens must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with another young cat with which he or she can play and socialize. The majority of no-kill rescues nationwide adhere to this policy. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions, rather it ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development.
