Simon is a beautiful long-haired cocoa-colored boy with Siamese-style points. He also has a short bobtail that he wags adorably when he purrs.
Simon is assumed to be 5 to 10 years old - his early life is a mystery. He has lived outdoors for an unknown period of time but has been cared for in an outdoor setting by a caregiver since 2024. He transitioned to foster care in January 2026.
Simon's special need is that he is FIV positive and has stomatitis (mouth inflammation). He must be an indoor-only cat and should be in a 1-cat household or be with other FIV-positive cats. Given the stomatitis, he seems to prefer mostly wet food for his meals, and the vet recommends a daily immune-support medication sprinkled in his morning meal for the rest of his life to help control the inflammation. The medication costs about $17 per month.
Simon transitioned to indoor life with charm and curiosity - and is now a quiet companion who enjoys sitting peacefully nearby or curling up next to you on a sofa. He can be snuggly and purry at bedtime. He gets close to request pets on his head and back, and he enjoys a gentle brushing. He has been observed cohabitating peacefully around another FIV foster cat. He may hiss or swat defensively (and cutely) if cornered or frightened, but he has not behaved aggressively in foster care. Adoption fee $70. Contact Roscoe at 501-276-0904.
Simon is a handsome, resilient boy who is ready for a quiet home where he can relax, feel safe, and enjoy life as a beloved companion.
