DESCRIPTION

Lucy is a bright 10‑week‑old diluted calico baby girl who’s already won our hearts with her playful curiosity and affectionate nature. Despite being FIV positive, she thrives in a loving home—she loves to be petted, enjoys the company of people, kids, dogs, and other cats, and is always eager to follow you around the house. She’s litter‑box trained, adores toys (especially crinkle and wand toys), and will happily slip into your lap for endless cuddles and purrs.

Her foster mom has seen her shine as a sweet little girl who loves attention and thrives in a warm, welcoming environment. If you’re ready to add a lively, loving companion to your life, come meet Lucy this Saturday at our adoption event! She’s ready to fill your home with joy and gentle companionship.

Join us this Saturday at our adoption event!

Come meet Lucy in person—her foster parent can’t wait to introduce you to the most charming kitten who is ready immediately for a lap of her own.

Lucy does have feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Many people often turn away from a cat with FIV because they do not understanding it. FIV cats live normal healthy lives and can co-exist with other cats. FIV is NOT contagious to humans or other animals and is not easily transmitted between cats. Therefore most cats with FIV can live happily with one or two other cats and never spread their virus. Unfortunately many people miss out on a great cat because they are the most affectionate and loving kitties that you will ever find. Lucy knows one day she will find a family to call her own. With proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, happy lives.

Our cat/kitten is spayed / neutered, current on vaccinations, on flea prevention and have been dewormed.

Our cat/kitten adoption fee is $175.00 each (cash or credit card).

Our adoption events are EVERY Saturday at the Livonia PetSmart (13150 Middlebelt) from 11 to 3 - this is the ideal opportunity to meet our lovable cats and kittens in person! This is your chance to connect with the furry friend you've been dreaming of, and our incredible foster moms will be there to help guide you through the process, answer every question, and help you find the purr‑fect match.

*** We receive many Applications throughout the week, so showing up at our events will significantly increase your chances of meeting and adopting one of our beautiful cats or kittens.

You can fill out an application online or at the adoption event. Remember, even if you don't receive a call about your application, it doesn't mean you've been denied. We may simply have received numerous applications for the same cat, or we were unable to review all applications due to our schedule. Don't be discouraged - come to adoption event to give yourself the best chance of finding the perfect match!

*** For Kittens: We give priority adoption placement to adopters who welcome two kittens together. Adopting two kittens not only doubles the love in your home—it also gives you priority in the adoption process! A pair of kitten that grow up together learning social skills, have constant companionship, and keeping each other happily entertained. Together they’ll soothe separation anxiety, curb play aggression, and burn off endless energy, paving the way for calm, well adjusted cats as they mature. Give two kittens a forever home and enjoy the joyful, balanced bond they’ll create for you and each other. If you can only welcome one kitten at this time, we understand and still have a precious kitten waiting for you.

HOW TO MEET: This sweetheart may be at the Livonia PetSmart on Saturdays from 11-3. Come up and meet this cutie and/or other cats/kittens. The Livonia PetSmart is located at South East corner of Middlebelt and I-96 at 13150 Middlebelt Rd Livonia, MI 48150. It is located in the back of the Meijer and Costco Parking lot. Our pets are in the back-right hand side of the store past the grooming and vet clinic.

WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THE ANIMAL YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WILL BE AT THE ADOPTION EVENT. Visit WAG Animal Rescue's Facebook page every Thursday and Friday to see photos of pets coming to the adoption event that weekend. You can also email us if there is a specific kitten/cat you would like to meet to be sure they will be at the adoption event. We ask that you DO NOT contact PetSmart about our animals. They are kind enough to provide space for our adoption events, but are not involved with our rescue work.

HOW TO APPLY: If you would like to apply for this cat or any of our other cats, please request an application by clicking the “START YOUR INQUIRY” button.

You can also go directly to our website at www.waganimalrescue.com to fill out an application.

You must be at least 21 years old to apply.

IMPORTANT: An application must be filled out and approved before we will make special arrangements to meet a cat/kitten. A volunteer will review your application and contact you if your application is approved or if further clarification is required. We will make every attempt to contact APPROVED applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received. If you do not answer all questions then your application may not be processed. WAG Animal Rescue adopts to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis. We are an all-volunteer organization, and regret that we do not have the resources to contact applicants that are not approved. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER. All of our animals are kept in foster homes.
