GETTING TO KNOW ME
Butters is just “one of the guys.” He is a typical Corney with lots of activity, playfulness and wanting all your attention. Butters will be where the action is. Feeding? He is there. Making the bed? He is there. Scooping the litterbox? He is there. ALWAYS, he is there. Butters does not want to lead the group, but he also will not be left out.
He is an average sized guy, with a soft and velvety coat. He has a snaggle tooth canine that often rests outside his mouth. (He had a dental with extractions and the tooth is okay.) Butters loves to sleep in the little pop-up tent enclosure in his room or snuggled in with at least one, preferably 2 or 3 others. Body heat is a wonderful thing.
Butters really loves his human and wants attention as often as he can get it. Be prepared to have your fingers and ankles nibbled if you are not paying attention to him. (Therefore, not a good fit for little humans. Those nibbles do not break skin, but they can hurt sometimes.)
Balls, spring toys, a dropped pen (just about anything) will be grabbed by his rocket launching paws and foisted across the room. Sometimes you really do not want to know what the noise behind the closed door is. Ha!
Butters will do best with another cat companion. He gets along well with his Cornish rex companions, who are also up for adoption. His feline companions should be confident and full of themselves. He would taunt a shy guy who gets upset being picked on. A respectful dog should be fine. Young children would not be appropriate.
Be sure to have lots of fleece to snuggle in and an assortment of toys to smash around the room. At least one cat tree set near a window is a must.
He enjoys his Honest Kitchen meals of reconstituted wet food, along with a side dish of Solid Gold kibble. He is schedule fed twice a day and is great at cleaning his plate. Open feeding allows him to potentially overeat. He always uses his litterboxes which are large, open and filled with unscented clumping litter.
