Ms Kitty - Burmese Cat for Adoption in Chicago, Illinois

I know why you stopped scrolling: you saw these big eyes and sweet face and you just had to know more. This is Ms. Kitty. She's a very special girl, and at this point she knows it!

She'll follow you around the house, rubbing up against your legs and keeping you up-to-date on her current feelings with her chatty little meows. She's very playful and still a young cat, always exploring and enjoying the time she gets to spend out and about in the house. Feather toys and balls don't stand a chance against her, and we're pretty sure she recognizes the squeezable treat jar by the sound of the lid at this point.

It's important to know that despite being beautiful and loving Ms. Kitty has also been aggressive in the past. We've worked with her veterinarian and with their help we found a medication that helps with her territorial anxiety. She's great at taking her medication with her food and it's been a game changer for her. She's still 100% Ms. Kitty but with help managing her emotions she's free to focus on enjoying life and less on feeling overwhelmed.

Because of her temperament Ms. Kitty should only be adopted into a home with no kids and an experienced cat parent. While she's no longer territorially aggressive her adopter will have to learn her body language and understand when she's feeling overstimulated and needs her space. She's become friends and playmates with other cats in her foster home and would benefit from a buddy cat of a similar age, but being solo isn't a deal-breaker. What she needs most is an understanding adopter with whom she can share her life and her love.
