PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email.
It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.
ESTHER was saved by the Rescue Mama's neighbor in Hemet, California. The neighbor found her at a park really scared and skinny. We got her into the rescue and now this little sweetie is ready for her own family!
Meet ESTHER: The Shy but Resilient Bombay Beauty
ESTHER is a stunning Bombay cat with a sleek, black coat that gleams like velvet in the light. She may be a little shy at first, but don’t let her quiet demeanor fool you – ESTHER is full of heart and resilience. She was found abandoned on the streets of Hemet, California, left to fend for herself, but despite her rough start, she’s proven to be a true survivor. Now, ESTHER is looking for a loving and patient forever home where she can feel safe and cherished.
A Quiet Soul with a Playful Heart
ESTHER may take a little time to warm up to new people and environments, but once she feels comfortable, her playful nature shines through. She enjoys chasing after toys and loves to explore her surroundings at her own pace. She’s a cat that values routine and needs a quiet, calm home where she can slowly adjust and build trust. A peaceful, low-stress environment is key to helping her come out of her shell.
Resilient and Loving
Though ESTHER may initially appear reserved, she’s incredibly resilient and has made great strides since her rescue. She thrives in a gentle and consistent environment, and she’s already shown she’s capable of forming strong bonds with those who treat her with patience and respect. With time, she will reward you with affection and a deep sense of connection.
Good with Other Cats
ESTHER gets along well with other friendly cats. She’s not one to pick fights or cause drama, but she does enjoy the company of a calm feline friend. A household with another friendly and well-mannered cat could be ideal, as it would give her the social interaction she craves while allowing her to stay at her own pace.
A Patient Home is Key
ESTHER is in need of a home with someone who understands her shy nature and is willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel secure. She’s not the type of cat who will rush into your lap, but if you offer her quiet affection, respect her boundaries, and give her a bit of time, ESTHER will blossom into a loyal, loving companion.
Her Ideal Home
Quiet and Calm: ESTHER is best suited for a home without a lot of chaos or loud noises. A peaceful space will allow her to feel safe as she continues her journey toward building trust.
Experienced Cat Owners: Her ideal adopter will be someone who understands shy and sensitive cats and is prepared to offer patience and encouragement as she opens up.
No Young Children: Due to her shy nature, ESTHER would prefer a home without young children, as she needs an environment where she can feel secure and in control.
Friendly Cats: ESTHER is comfortable with other friendly, non-aggressive cats and could thrive in a multi-cat household where the other cats are calm and respectful of her boundaries.
A Life Transformed
ESTHER’s journey from being abandoned on the streets to finding safety in a rescue has been nothing short of inspiring. Now, she’s ready to take the next step and find a forever family that will accept her just as she is. In return, ESTHER will offer you a bond that is built on trust and patience, and she will slowly but surely show you her true, loving self.
If you’re looking for a cat who needs a little time to adjust but will become an incredible companion once she feels safe, ESTHER could be the perfect fit for you. With love, patience, and understanding, ESTHER will become the quiet, loyal, and playful companion you’ve been waiting for.
ESTHER is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX. She is 8 months old. She has lived with cats. She has never lived with children or dogs.
ESTHER is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.
