American Curl Cats Available for Adoption

ARIELLA is a RED and CREAM AMERICAN CURL with tabby markings. The breed was developed in the early 80s which means they are still quite rare. She has short fur that is very easy to maintain and has blue-green eyes. Ariella is 4 months of age and weighs 4 lbs. She has been spayed, is fully vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, has her claws and has been microchipped to ensure she can always be reunited with loved ones. The ears on this breed curl back, away from the face. It is a mutation that doesn’t negatively affect other cartilage in the body.

Ariella, her littermates, and momma were surrendered to SPCR when the kittens were about 4 weeks of age. The mother was underweight but was taking great care to meet her kittens’ needs. The family has grown up in foster care with plenty of nutritional support, safety, and toys! Ariella’s bio includes photos throughout her young life.

Ariella and her sister, Lily, are the most rambunctious in this litter. They are mischievous and like to shred tissues and paper towels. Ariella likes to explore every open cabinet and behind every open door. She is always running, playing, climbing, and observing. She runs up towers with ease and jumps off from heights that make you cringe. She is very active yet will stop to nuzzle against your face, purr, get petted and then take off again. She is very affectionate and loves human interaction. She conforms to the American Curl breed which is known for being affectionate, playful and kitten-like throughout their lives.

Ariella eats Purina Pro Plan Complete and Royal Canin for kittens. She loves wet food and Churu too.

As with all kittens, we recommend that two are adopted together or that you have another young kitty in the home. Ariella is very sociable and would do well with children who have been taught to be respectful to animals. Based upon personality, she would likely do fine with a respectful dog as well. Preference will be given to an applicant who is interested in a second kitten from the foster home.
