It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.


The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.


RICHARD CASTLE and his siblings (KATE BECKETT -ALEXIS CASTLE - KEVIN RYAN - JAVIER ESPOSITO) were saved by a sweet man that takes care of his cats in his neighborhood in Hemet, California. We named them all after the show CASTLE. And lets introduce you to him.


RICHARD CASTLE: A Regal Spirit Seeking a Patient Heart

With a name as distinguished as his looks, RICHARD CASTLE is an undeniably striking cat. He is an Abyssinian tabby mix which makes him an intelligent, high-energy, and affectionate cat, often described as a "Tabyssinian" or a ticked tabby domestic shorthair. These mixes typically feature the athletic, slender body and large ears of an Abyssinian, combined with the distinctive ticked coat pattern, and are known to be vocal, curious, and very people-oriented, acting as loyal, active companions


A True Connoisseur with a Playful Side:

One of RICHARD CASTLE's greatest joys in life is his wet food – he absolutely adores it! Providing him with delicious, high-quality meals is sure to be a wonderful way to connect with this discerning gentleman. When not indulging in a gourmet treat, RICHARD CASTLE is a lover of playtime. He delights in chasing toys and engaging in playful tussles, especially with a feline friend. He truly enjoys the company of other cats and would thrive in a home with another friendly feline who's up for some playful wrestling matches.


Learning to Trust, One Step at a Time:

Having come from a difficult past, RICHARD CASTLE has learned to navigate the world with a bit of caution. He's comfortable with the presence of humans, often enjoying being in the same room as his people, soaking up the warmth of companionship. However, he's still learning to trust physical affection and isn't comfortable with being touched just yet. He'll need a patient adopter who understands his boundaries and is willing to let him initiate contact when he feels safe and ready. RICHARD CASTLE is an DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / ABYSSINIAN TABBY MIX. He is about 2 years 0 months old. RICHARD CASTLE is good with cats. In his foster home, he was around other kittens and older cats. He has never been around children or dogs.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below:

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.

Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.


We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
