Berry is a 5-year-old female Indian Ringneck who's equal parts cautious and charming. While she's still learning to trust, this pretty girl has been making steady progress in her foster home--and it's clear she's ready for a patient forever family to help her continue blossoming.

Berry doesn't step up (yet!), but she'll happily come out of her cage for food, especially if there's chop involved--she's absolutely obsessed. Apples and bananas? Yes, please! She's also doing great on Zupreem pellets and loves exploring her foraging toys and chewing on soft wood blocks. If her toys include a plastic duck? Even better.

She's not a fan of spray baths but may treat herself to a quick splash in her water dish now and then. And while she prefers to keep a respectful distance from hands, she'll let you tidy up her cage and refill her food without issue.

Berry has a history of plucking and came to STAR with only one lonely tail feather. But the good news? We're already seeing new feather growth under her wings, and she's leaving them alone (fingers crossed).

She mostly spends her out-of-cage time on or around her cage, and she's slowly starting to build the courage to explore more. Her foster home is helping her work on stepping up, and she's even tolerating being gently held for short periods each day.
