This sweet boy, born around 1995, came to us in January and has already been showing us just how special he is. While he is blind in his right eye, he navigates his space thoughtfully and continues to build confidence each day. He may be a little nervous at first, but with patience and the right motivation (almonds in the shell are his favorite!), he really starts to shine.
He has been making great progress with stepping up and even worked through his first scale session with time, trust, and a few well-earned treats. Once he feels comfortable, you can see his personality come through—curious, willing, and eager to connect.
He will do best in a home that understands the importance of going slow, respecting his space, and building a bond at his pace. In return, you’ll have the opportunity to form a truly meaningful relationship with a bird who is learning to trust and thrive again.
If you’re looking for a rewarding companion and are ready to give this beautiful macaw the patience and love he deserves, he may be the perfect match for you.
