Meet Greta, a spicy 5 year old lovebird! This curious little bird was surrendered due to some biting issues which, as most lovebird owners will tell you, comes with the territory of owning this particular species. Lovebirds are opinionated and blessed with a plucky personality that sometimes can turn into reactivity. It is our job as bird owners to learn how to redirect these behaviors and turn them into something positive. Greta's fosters are hard at work starting this process and have begun training her to establish trust, which she has been enjoying immensely! She is incredibly people oriented and enjoys attention, so we are hopeful that this won't take long with the right home, routing, and consistency. Already, she is comfortable perching on her foster's leg and Greta will do best in a household who is comfortable continuing the progress that she's made in foster care and would be okay tolerating a little bit of noise every now and then.
