Conure Birds Available for Adoption

This is Rowan (recently named), a beautiful Sun Conure, DNA confirmed male, whose age is unknown.

Rowan was found outside, and after trying to find his owner for quite some time, he was surrendered to
our group.

Rowan is a sweetheart.
He is a shy guy and is a very unskilled flyer.

Despite not knowing his beginnings, Rowan is open to human interaction.
He is getting used to hands, and though he has yet to build the courage to step up, he is getting closer every day.
Rowan is not aggressive at all and loves to get rid of your hangnails and lick your fingers if you stick your fingers in his cage.

We are experimenting with fresh foods, which he is open to trying, but he eats mostly seeds and pellets.
His two favorite foods are sunflower seeds and fresh apples.
We do not encourage seed as a primary diet, and we think that is all he was being fed at his previous home :/

As a typical Sun Conure, Rowan can certainly project his voice, though it is loud at times; he is quiet for most of the day.
He will get excited when you enter the room, but will quiet down soon after, especially if you are interacting with him.

Rowan would do best in a home with some form of bird experience, who will have the patience to build a
relationship with this amazing bird!

Rowan has been disease tested and is negative for PBFD and Chlamydia.

He is being fostered in Newtown PA.

They will only be adopted into a forever home within driving distance.

We will NOT ship our birds.
