Sandite Team Animal Rescue (STAR) is a 501c3 not for profit organization. We are a group of animal lovers from Sand Springs, Oklahoma, who got together and decided we wanted to help the animals in our community. We get adoptable dogs from the Sand Springs Animal Control that are due to be euthanized and pay for their medical care.  We do not have a facility, so our dogs are fostered until we can get them adopted locally or sent on a transport to a "no kill" animal rescue.  We also assist our local animal control in adoption events. We promote spaying and neutering of animals to help prevent the overpopulation crisis.
