Your donations are tax deductible and every cent of your monetary donations go straight to helping cats stay safe, loved, fed, vetted, and taken care of!

A Place For Cats, Inc. was founded to provide the surrounding community with an option for sheltering, spaying or neutering, and re-homing cats.  The over-population of cats is a burden on all of us, and at our rescue, we have made a difference in the lives of many cats.  It is a never ending labor of love, and our Board of Directors and our all volunteer staff works to make this possible.

Update for Y2020:

A Place for Cats, INC had gone through some changes and lost it's facility due to lack of funding as well as the overwhelming amount of animals that were dumped off at the facility due to the location. Despite losing our facility, A Place for Cats, INC is still a functioning 501(c)3 non-for-profit animal rescue organization, however we are just working out of foster homes for now. Any donations we receive (food, money, vet certificates, blankets/bedding, etc) will be dedicated to the animals we care for in foster care and colony ferals/strays who have nowhere else to go, and nobody else to take care of them. Also, due to the fact that we have let our facility go, any appointments to view/meet adoptable animals must be by appointment only. You can make an appointment by calling 716-574-1320 or emailing Thank you so much for your understanding and your continued support!
Our adoption fees vary depending on which cat you are planning to adopt. So please contact us for more information on the adoption fees for our kitties. Of course, the adoption fees include: Spay or Neuter surgery, Up to date Rabies Vaccination, Up to date FRCPV, Flea treated & dewormed. Not to mention socialized by our kind, caring, cat-loving staff. The adoption fee also goes toward helping another cat or kitten in need of rescue and shelter, by keeping us running.

We have an application and a contract for potential adopters to fill out that includes a reference check and a vet-history check to make sure current animals in the adopters care are vetted properly and up to date on vaccinations. We run occassional deals for people who would like to adopt two cats or kittens that we feel are soul-bound pairs, or we would otherwise like to see go home together, as well. Please ask if the cats/kittens that catch your eye are included in this!
