Buttercup – ID# 19485 – Kennel #313 – Arrived May 31st – Yorkshire Terrier – Black and Brown – Female – 2 Years Old – 12 lbs – Will Be Spayed Prior to Adoption – Up to Date on Vaccines – Heartworm Negative
Buttercup is a two-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a full, fluffy black and brown coat, a face full of warmth, and a heart that has been through more than any two-year-old dog should ever have to endure. She arrived at Cobb Animal Services on May 31st with her sister Bubbles and her brother Buddy after a journey that began when their owner moved away and left all three of them behind. A neighbor stepped in for six months, but eventually bringing them here was the only option. Buttercup has known loss, uncertainty, and change — and she is still sweet, still playful, and still here.
Buttercup already knows sit and has been described as sweet and playful, though she is understandably a little shy and confused as she finds her footing in yet another unfamiliar place. The courage it takes for a small dog who has been through this much to still wag her tail and engage with the world around her is something worth recognizing and honoring.
She shares Kennel #313 with her sister Bubbles, and that familiar presence has been everything during this difficult time. Their brother Buddy is nearby in Kennel #323, and together these three have only ever had each other to rely on. If the right home had room for two or even all three it would mean the world — but what matters most is that Buttercup finds the safe, permanent home she has been waiting for.
Buttercup is a fluffy, precious girl with a gentle soul and so much love left to give. She simply needs someone to give her the one thing she has not had in far too long — a permanent, loving home where she is wanted and where she gets to stay. Come meet her in Kennel #313. She and Bubbles will be right there, side by side, hoping today is the day everything finally changes.
