Buddy – ID# 19486 – Kennel #323 – Arrived May 31st – Yorkshire Terrier – Black and Brown – Male – 1 Year Old – 8.25 lbs – Estimated Adult Weight 9–11 lbs – Will Be Neutered Prior to Adoption – Up to Date on Vaccines – Heartworm Negative
Buddy is a one-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a classic black and brown coat, bright curious eyes, and a sweet, playful nature that has somehow survived everything life has thrown at him in his very short time on this earth. He arrived at Cobb Animal Services on May 31st with his sisters Bubbles and Buttercup after their owner moved away and left all three of them behind. A neighbor provided temporary shelter for six months before bringing them here. At just one year old Buddy has already known more upheaval and uncertainty than any dog should ever have to face.
Buddy already knows sit and has been described as sweet and playful, though like his sisters he is a little shy and confused as he adjusts to shelter life. He is currently in Kennel #323, just down the hall from his sisters Bubbles and Buttercup in Kennel #313 — and knowing they are nearby has made the uncertainty of shelter life a little easier to bear. If the right home had room for all three it would be something truly special — but whatever comes next, Buddy is ready to give his whole heart to whoever chooses him.
At just one year old Buddy is the youngest of the three and has his whole life ahead of him. He is small, he is sweet, and he is at exactly the right age to bond deeply with a new family and grow into the confident, loving companion he is meant to be. The right home — calm, gentle, and patient — will bring out everything that is wonderful about this little boy.
Buddy deserves to stop wondering what comes next. He deserves a soft bed, familiar faces, and the kind of steady love that tells a dog he is finally, truly safe. Come meet him in Kennel #323 — this little boy has been waiting for someone to choose him for far too long, and he is ready to give everything he has to the person who does.
