Meet Ava 🤍

Ava is a 1-year-old Terrier mix we rescued from the South LA shelter where she was placed on the euthanasia list for growling purely out of fear.

She’s now in a foster home where we are learning more about her! Ava is curious about everything—always watching the world around her, especially other dogs—and is soaking up all the new experiences that come with being out of the shelter.

She is great with both men and women and loves being close to her people... like really close. She’s a total velcro/lap dog who would happily spend her day curled up beside you (or on you 🤣).

She’s still learning the basics of home life. Leash walking and commands are new to her, but she’s making progress every day with consistent guidance and a few short walks to help her build confidence.

Ava sleeps through the night in her crate like a champ and is eating better each day as she settles in.

She can be a bit wary and vocal when meeting new people at first, but with a little reassurance and a proper introduction, she relaxes quickly and shows her sweet, affectionate side.

Ava is incredibly loving and just wants to feel safe and secure. With a little patience and consistency, she’s going to blossom into the most loyal companion.
