Say hello to Java, a young, energetic little guy with a whole lot of love to give. He’s active, playful, and absolutely adores cuddling once he feels comfortable. Like many small dogs, Java has a bit of “small dog syndrome”—he can be shy and a little nippy when meeting new people. But with a gentle approach and a few soft, high‑value treats, he warms up quickly and shows his sweet, goofy side.

Java recently had what was likely his very first haircut ever, and he wasn’t too sure about having his face groomed. With patience, positive experiences, and slow introductions, he’ll continue learning that grooming isn’t so scary.

Java gets along well with other dogs, especially those his size. We’re not sure how he feels about cats yet. Because he can be nervous with fast movements and unpredictable noise, he’d do best in a home without small children.
