Meet Pip! đ
Pip is a very special little 7lb terrier mix girl with the sweetest soul, the funniest personality, and the cutest quirks. Sheâs searching for a very special forever home that will understand and appreciate all the things that make her uniquely Pip. Please read her bio all the way through, as she does have some specific needs that are important for her happiness and success in her forever home.
When Pip first arrived in foster care from the shelter, she was extremely shy and very introverted. Since she came from a shelter, we donât know anything about her life before UnderDog. But after a couple of weeks in foster care, her adorable little personality has slowly started to bloom. Like many rescue dogs, she may need time to come out of her shell again in a new home, or she may settle right in and continue showing off her silly side. Rescue dogs keep us guessing sometimes!
One thing we do know is that Pip needs at least one other small, calm, passive dog in the home. Having another dog around makes her feel safe and secure. If left alone completely, Pip will stand at the door and bark and whimper for you. But if another dog is home with her, she settles much more comfortably. She also absolutely loves going along for adventures whenever possible and enjoys riding in a doggy car seat or being pushed around in a stroller like the tiny princess she believes she is.
Pip is also hilariously chatty. She communicates with little grumbles, snorts, funny noises, playful growls, and once she feels comfortable with you â barking. Her growly sounds are not aggression at all; theyâre simply part of her very expressive personality and how she plays. Because of this, any dog living with her needs to be non-reactive and comfortable with vocal play behavior.
This girl LOVES toys. She will proudly shake them around while making the cutest playful growly noises and would happily play fetch for hours if you let her. In fact, if you take too long throwing the toy, she will absolutely bark at you to remind you she is still waiting. And if you dare end the game before she thinks itâs over? Oh yes⊠sheâll let you know about that too. She enjoys a little tug-of-war before launching into another round of fetch. Sheâs playful, goofy, entertaining, and everything youâd expect from a fun-loving 2-year-old pup.
And now⊠we must discuss Pipâs most legendary quality: her snoring. đ
Pip snores VERY loudly. Truly. This tiny girl can snore loudly enough to wake her foster mom up in the middle of the night. So if youâre a very light sleeper, Pip may not be your perfect match. Especially because her favorite place in the world is snuggled in bed beside you. Sometimes she likes to share your pillow⊠although âshareâ may not be the correct word, because she usually plants herself directly on it and expects you to adjust accordingly. Other times she sleeps curled up against your back, cozy and content. She also loves being tucked under blankets at bedtime.
Honestly, sheâs so ridiculously cute that itâs impossible to be annoyed with her for long.
Pip is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines â ready to find the patient, loving home she deserves. đŸ
