Meet Dinky
15 years young Under 20 lbs Gentle senior gentleman
Hello, friends. My name is Dinky, and even though they say I'm 15, I sure don't feel old. I'm a happy little lad with a big heart and a lot of love left to give.
My life changed recently.
My daddy passed away, and my mommy had to move into an apartment where I wasn't allowed to go. I didn't understand any of it - I just knew I suddenly needed a new place to belong.
I still have my manly bits, and the doctors say I'm too old for that surgery now. I don't mind... I'm just living my little life.
Because my previous family didn't take me to the vet very often, I needed a big dental cleaning when I arrived. I lost quite a few teeth, but don't you worry - I still crunch my hard kibble like a champ. That canned stuff is icky anyway.
My Personality
I love cats and dogs of all sizes
I enjoy a good run if I slip out the door, but I always come back
Barn cats are especially fun to chase
I take a little time to warm up to new humans, but once I trust you, I'm loyal and loving
I can hop in and out of chairs like a pro and love to curl up and watch the world go by
At night, I start out sleeping at the foot of the bed, then I hop down to snooze beside my foster brother - a BIG standard poodle. He makes me feel safe.
What I'm Hoping For
My foster mommy is wonderful, and I love her very much... but I'm dreaming of a quiet, gentle forever home where I can enjoy my retirement in peace. I adore cuddles, car rides, and being close to my people.
I'm not a fan of the doctor's office - every time I go, something unpleasant happens like shots or dental work - but I'm a brave boy and I try my best.
If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet senior who just wants to be loved, please consider me. I would be so proud to call you my new mommy or daddy.
