"Meet Blizzard ❄️ – Your Snuggly Adventure Buddy

Blizzard is a 10-month-old, 20 lb female terrier mix pup. She may have had a tough start to life, spending much of her early days in a cage—but you’d never guess it from the brave, blossoming girl she’s becoming today. When she first arrived, she was very shy and unsure of the world, but every single day she grows more confident and lets her sweet personality shine through.

This curious girl loves to explore! New things can feel a little scary at first, but Blizzard is incredibly brave—give her a moment, and she’ll be off sniffing and discovering like a pro. She especially enjoys her walks, where she can take in all the smells and fresh air. She’s still working on her leash skills, but with a bit of guidance, she has the potential to become an amazing hiking or adventure companion. With her intelligence and athleticism, she could even excel in agility as she continues to learn and build confidence.

Blizzard is a wonderful mix of medium energy with playful bursts, balanced by a calm, cuddly side. Once she warms up to you, she’ll quickly become your little shadow. She absolutely adores couch cuddles, head scratches, and simply being close to her people—this quiet loyalty is where she truly shines.

She’s a smart cookie too—highly food-motivated and eager to learn, which will make training both fun and rewarding. She is crate trained and currently sleeps in her crate at night and when left alone. She may bark for about 10 minutes when first settling in, but then relaxes and goes to sleep. She is not food possessive, making her a great candidate for continued positive training.

Blizzard is fully house trained, with the exception of occasional excited morning greetings where she may have a small pee dribble when coming out of her crate—something that is common in young dogs and continues to improve with routine and confidence.

Blizzard gets along wonderfully with her foster brother, Buster, and would thrive with another confident, well-balanced dog to help show her the ropes. That said, she could also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only pup. She has not yet been tested with cats.

Her ideal home would be a quieter environment with a fenced yard (must be fully fenced) where she can feel safe and continue building her confidence. She will do best with a patient owner or family who understands she’s still learning that the world is a safe place. Blizzard would do well with calm, respectful or older children who can match her gentle nature.

Blizzard is truly something special—a gentle, loving dog who’s discovering how good life can be. With a little patience and a lot of love, she’ll reward you with unwavering companionship and the sweetest snuggles."

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter .
*EXCLUDING UNALTERED PUPPIES UNDER A YEAR.

The adoption fee also includes, at a minimum, vaccinations, de-worming, I.D. tag and microchip insertion. We gratefully accept any amount above the adoption fee as a donation used to support our mission to save as many dogs as possible.
