Meet Zola: Looking for the Right Kind of Forever for a Deaf sweet doggie
Zola thought she had found her happily-ever-after.
But sometimes love isn't enough if the fit isn't right.
After going home, it became clear that the busy, high-energy environment was simply too much for her. Zola gets overstimulated when life gets chaotic, and while this wasn't anyone's fault, it means she's once again searching for the family she was always meant to have.
At just 2-3 years old and 40 pounds, Zola has so much love packed into her little body. She raised six beautiful puppies (our famous Z Pups! ), watched them find families of their own, and now it's finally her turn.
One of the things that makes Zola extra special is that she's deaf. But don't let that fool you. This girl is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and loves working with her people. She responds beautifully to her training collar and thrives when given guidance, routine, and love.
Zola's Highlights
Deaf but highly trainable and eager to please
Fully potty trained
Crate trained
Good with dogs
Although she has sometimes done ok with them cats are a no-go to be safe. She tries to play too rough
Best with calmer, older kids who can respect her boundaries and playful, sometimes mouthy terrier personality
Loves walks, adventures, and car rides
Equally happy to curl up for couch cuddles afterward
Zola loves with her whole heart. She wants to be with her people. She wants to go on adventures, play hard, and then snuggle up beside you at the end of the day. She isn't looking for a perfect family. She's just looking for the right one.
After spending so much of her life taking care of everyone else, Mama Zola deserves someone who will choose her, understand her, and love her exactly as she is.
Could that be you?
