Hi there, future best friend ... I'm Joey! Let's get one thing straight: I may look like a scruffy little dude, but surprise - I'm actually super soft. Basically a rugged-looking marshmallow. When I meet new people, I don't just wag my tail ... I wag my entire body. It's a full wiggle situation. I just get so excited to say hi - I can't help it! I'm about 5 months old and 15 pounds of pure fun. I've been working really hard on my manners, and guess what? I can already ring a bell when I need to go potty (genius, right?). I also know how to sit, shake, and lie down - so if you've got treats, I've got skills. I LOVE to zoom around and chase my toys like a tiny athlete ... but I'm also a big fan of naps. Floor, couch, sunny spot - I'm not picky. Sometimes when I get extra excited or sleepy, I get a little mouthy (hey, I am still a puppy). I adore kids, especially the kind, respectful ones - maybe age 5 and up would be perfect for me. Other dogs? YES, PLEASE. I try to make friends with every dog I meet, and I'd be sooo happy to have a friendly and playful dog sibling in my forever home. I even tried to befriend a cat once! One of my favorite hobbies is sitting in the grass, soaking up the sunshine, and getting belly rubs. If you have a big fenced yard where I can lounge and play, I might just think I've hit the jackpot. Leash walks are still a "work in progress" for me - I feel braver when my whole pack comes along. Safety in numbers, you know? I've even been on my first hike! At night, I'm the perfect roommate. I sleep quietly in my kennel all night long - no complaints, no fuss. So ... if your home (and heart) has room for a goofy, loving, wiggly little sidekick - especially if you're thinking about adding a second pup - I just might be your guy. What do you say?
