Meet Huckleberry--better known as Huck--a 6-month-old Miniature Schnauzer mix with a big personality in a small, 15-pound package. Huck is a playful, silly, and confident goofball who loves nothing more than wrestling and chasing other dogs, soaking up sunshine in the yard, and snuggling on the couch after a long day of puppy adventures. He can be a little skeptical when meeting new people, but with slow introductions he warms up quickly and wants nothing more than to be loved by everyone. Huck is very intrigued by the TV, proudly acts like one of the "big dogs," and isn't shy about asking to be picked up for cuddles. He's making great progress with house and crate training, sleeps through the night when his crate is close by, and is highly treat-motivated--already mastering sit, paw, come, and more. Huck walks nicely on leash but tires after about a mile, and while his energy is typical for a puppy, he thrives with plenty of stimulation, playtime, and chances to sprint around the yard. He loves riding in the car, enjoys sticks and tug-o-war, and will sometimes attempt to climb into the shower out of curiosity. Huck would do best in a home with a fenced yard and a friendly dog companion who enjoys playful roughhousing but isn't too pushy. He's still learning the ropes and will need an adopter willing to continue puppy training with patience and consistency. Smart, loving, and irresistibly snuggly, Huck is ready to grow into the loyal companion he's meant to be.
