Hello – I’m Artemis! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I am so happy to be soaking up all the love from the volunteers. Now I'm ready to find a wonderful home of my very own with a family to love and be loved by! Come meet me soon and let’s see if we’re a great match!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did not like them, so I’ll want to be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, but I think older kids may be best as I have some guarding tendencies. So, if you have older kids, let’s meet.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a fun, playful, and friendly boy - just the happiest and cutest! I love being close and even jumped right into my bather’s arms to be held. I was a little unsure about the sprayer at first during my bath, but I settled in nicely and rewarded them with lots of tail wags during towel-off time. I’m very sweet and friendly, though I can be a bit sensitive around my head, so gentle handling there is appreciated. / Energy level: 4-6.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘come’ command. I also use proper door etiquette, and I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. I have some guarding tendencies in a few areas that my trainers are working on with me, so ask about this and they will be glad to help you with training strategies. / I can be a little reactive around my crate, so just ask about this. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love people, playing, having fun and I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we’ll enjoy doing together. / Other than the above-mentioned guarding, I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I have a very mild luxating patella in my right rear leg, so I’m on a good over the counter joint supplement called Cosequin.
