Hi, I’m Sunkist—a 2-year-old Terrier mix weighing about 24 pounds, and I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas. These days, I’m soaking up the good life and showing everyone just how sweet and loving I really am. I’m basically the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. I’m one of those easygoing girls who’s happy to play outside with dog friends for a while, then come right back inside and curl up in your lap for a lazy evening on the couch. Belly scratches are one of my favorite things in the world, and I’m always happy to soak up attention from anyone willing to give it.

I’m amazing with other dogs and great with kids, too. I’ve never met a stranger and have a very friendly, outgoing personality that makes me easy to love. I’m also very treat motivated, which means if you’ve got snacks, you’ve definitely got my attention. That should make continued training and learning new things a lot of fun for both of us.

I’d fit well into just about any semi-active home that wants a sweet companion to share life with. Whether we’re relaxing at home, going for walks, or hanging out in the yard, I’m just happy being included. I can also be cat tested if needed. I’ll come fully vetted, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate girl with a calm side and a playful side, I might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.
