Meet Mimi
Mimi is a little terrier mix from Mexico with a big personality packed into a tiny body. Since arriving in Colorado, she's been learning what safety, comfort, and love look like — and every day she's making progress.
At first, Mimi can be wary of new people, especially if someone is standing over her, but once she trusts you, her sweet side shines through. She loves curling up in laps, happily greets her people, and has discovered one of her favorite hobbies: collecting toys and carrying them back to her special spot like tiny treasures.
Mimi has already mastered stairs, sleeps soundly through the night in her kennel, and is doing wonderfully with house and potty training. She's also a pretty quiet girl who rarely barks at all.
Mimi's biggest challenge is that she does not want to share her space with other animals. While she has improved since arriving, she still shows strong territorial behavior toward dogs and cats and needs careful management around other pets. Because of this, Mimi is looking for an adult home where she can be the only four-legged family member.
What Mimi needs most is someone willing to understand her boundaries, continue building her confidence, and give her the secure environment she's never truly had before. In the right home, this little girl has so much love to give.
