Chuy came to us as an owner surrender when his previous family could no longer afford his care, after what seemed to be a dog attack. Chuy had to be taken to our veterinarian, where they did his surgery. He had a very large and infected, open abcsess on his shoulder. After a full recovery, he’s now looking for a fresh start with someone who can give him the stability and love he deserves.

Chuy can be a little shy at first and may take a bit of time to warm up to new people—but once he does, you’ll have a devoted companion for life. He forms strong bonds and won’t forget his people, happily seeking out attention and affection whenever he can. He’s a big fan of lap time, enjoys his treats, and already knows how to sit like a good boy.

Chuy is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so he’s completely ready to begin his next chapter in a loving home.

Chuy is currently located in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and locations along the East Coast. If transport is needed, an additional fee of $225 will apply. Please note that we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.
